The purpose of this project was to explore the fundamentals of typography to create a total of 25 layouts with unique designs and a clear hierarchy. There are five exploratory sections with five layouts each, each section focusing on a different strategy and building on the last: no tools (1), scale(2), axis(3), graphic elements (4), and image (5). Only one font was used, both aiding visual unity and making it more challenging to establish strong hierarchy. The content of the layouts is from Letterform Archive, a non-profit museum that holds collections relating to typography and design.
